Knowledge By the end of this lesson , Ss will be able to - Revise the language they have learnt in Units 7- 9: Pronunciation, stress and grammar - Apply the knowledge students have learnt to do exercises correctly. 1.1.Vocabulary: Vocabulary about : Environmental protection, shopping, Natural disasters Pronunciation of the sounds: /bl/, /kl/, /sp/, /st/ Word stress ending in –al and -ous 1.2.Grammar: Past continuous, past simple and present simple for future 2. Competences - Develop communication skills and creativity - Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and team work - Actively join in class activities - Improve group work, independent working, pair work, linguistic competence, cooperative learning and communicative competence. 3. Quality - Be responsible and hard working - Develop and improve for students the following qualities: patriotism, kindness, hard work, honesty, responsibility II. TEACHING AIDS 1. Students: Notebook, textbook 2.Teachers: Textbook, lesson plan, projector, computer accessed to the Internet. III. TEACHING PROCEDURES 1. Class organization/ Warm up : Network - Teacher asks Ss to work in 2 groups and think of some natural disasters and environmental protection they know. - Teacher writes the name of one natural disaster and environmental protection as a modeling activity. - Ss (one by one) go to the board and write the names of natural disasters and environmental protection that they know. - Teacher checks Ss’ results. 2. New lesson. * Pronunciation a. Activity 1: Activity 1.a. Listen and repeat, paying attention to the underlined words. * Objective: Help Ss review the pronunciation of the sound /bl/. /kl/, /sp/, /st/ and word stress ending in –al and – ous * Content - Ss listen and repeat, paying attention to the underlined words. - SS choose the correct answer.
